Elizabeth Quay: photo colour manipulation

This is a Photoshop project that demonstrates my ability to manipulate photographs and colours in very creative and attractive ways.
This artwork shows real photos of Elizabeth Quay and its surrounding sculptures taken by me. The challenge was to edit the image into fun, eye-catching colours while still maintaining its recognisable features.
These photographs underwent 4 kinds of creative colour manipulation techniques in Photoshop:
-
Index colour
-
Duotone
-
Grayscale
-
Multichannel mode & bitmap
Cat photoshoot: colour enhancement and manipulation

I am also capable of basic photography and knowing how to frame a good shot.

(Above) Here is an example of my professional photoshoot of my cat Miss White in where I focussed on her eyes and blurred the background. I enhanced her original photo to a richer, vibrant colour and also to black and white.

(Right) To make Miss White pop out amongst the grass, I edited in a fake blur both at background and foreground, plus enhanced the vibrancy and saturation of the grass.

Monotone - Orange

Monotone - Purple

Duotone - purple and orange
PHOTO-EDITING: Image enhancement
As a Multimedia Designer for both HolidayMax and Discover Australia (a Perth-based holiday travel company), I had the pleasure of giving complete makeovers of original holiday images. Often, these original photographs are either too dark or overexposed in some areas, lack detail and colour, or has gloomy, cloudy skies. The final result is a colourfully-rich, vibrant, warm and dreamy image which helps sell holiday packages even more on our website, eDMs, Facebook and Google ads. The images use a combination of Photoshop, Illustrator and inbuilt AI technology.
